 Post subject: Zonealarm and Firefox / Aurora problems

Basically I encountered a couple of problems yesterday.
One was that the updates for Firefox would always fail saying that there was another Firefox running when there wasn't.

And then when a manual update was done by downloading the program first another error appeared say that 'Platform 7.01 wasn't compatible with version 8'.

I'm running Zonealarm Extreme with Anti-virus disabled (using Avast instead).

Two settings caused problems. Stored 'virtual data' under Web Security - Settings creates the error saying that platform 7.01 isn't compatible with v8.0 and can be cleared by clicking the button labelled to clear it.

The other is when 'Browser Virtualization' is turned on and the Anti-keylogger is set to block programs that secretly record keystrokes and is set to 'always'. This is what was blocking the updates. Setting the last part to only cover HTTPS Secure sessions unblocks the updates but you could just turn off the whole section while updating and then re-enabling it afterwards.

If enough report similar problems then I guess an update for Zonealarm will appear.
