Day 14: The nomination game

Nominations are taking their toll and housemates are using every trick in the book to direct selection.

Benedict attempted to get a rise out of Arron who he had been told called him boring last night, asking him what had motivated his choice of language.

Arron said boring was, “probably just the first word I thought of. I am not very literate.”

In Arron’s defence he refused to take Benedicts bait and soldiered through even when our adult entertainer switched from confrontation to condescension.

Benedict said: “Last night you were engaging and contributing and I was proud of you. I’d like to see you do more of that. But you have to be responsible for the words that come out of your mouth. There’s got to be a filtering system.”

Arron blamed two, “sweaty stirring,” housemates of causing trouble and said he hoped Lydia and Deana who were sat nearby had enjoyed the latest floor show.

Has this boy learned nothing about that highly strung pair?

The two ladies leaped on the defensive resulting in a blazing row between Arron and Lydia with Arron accusing her of making herself the victim.

Her response, “I’m you’re victim? Hah. Don’t you dare bring my name into it. You’re 23-years-old. I have been around the world many times.”

We’re not really following her logic but you have to admire her style. She switched on the waterworks briefly but appears to have recovered.

Exempt from nominating this week, is Benedict playing devil’s advocate because he has no decision to make? Will Lydia’s outburst have firmed up her alliences and are the housemates being too hard on Arron or does he deserve the backlash?

Day 14: nominations revealed

Massive drum roll please.... We can now confirm that it will be Lauren vs Benedict on Friday. Nail-biting stuff, right?

Are you actually surprised? How do you think they'll take it? Will you be sad to see one of them go?

Watch this space for more nominations news and make sure you tune into Big Brother's Bit on the Side on C5 tonight at 11pm when the housemates will be told.

Benedict top go for me. He doesn't know how to enjoy himself (except in the shower)

Far too moralist and preachy for me.

Yesterday housemates nominated for the second time. Following yesterday’s time bomb task, Benedict has lost his privilege to nominate this week and therefore did not vote.

Arron
is first into the diary room and nominates Deana because “she cannot take a joke”. He adds: “She has always got a miserable face. She is sour and moody”. Arron is still annoyed that Deana pushed him in the pool following a water fight between the pair. If given the choice, he would not choose to live with her. His second nomination is for Lydia. He says: “I think she is false. She is two-faced and bitchy”.

Caroline
is next into the diary room. She nominates Benedict following an uncomfortable conversation they shared over his shower antics. "He was unbelievably confrontational and I felt uncomfortable”. Her next nomination is for Lauren. Caroline feels that she has given Lauren too many chances and that she moans too much.

Scott nominates Benedict and claims that Benedict is too "opinionated" and describes him as “preachy”. His second nomination is for Lauren. Scott thinks that she is negative and complains a lot.

Deana’s first nomination is for Arron. She thinks that he is "immature, childish" and that he lies a lot. Her nomination is in response to a water fight the pair shared in the bedroom and Arron taking her belongings from her draw. Her second nomination is for Lauren. Deana thinks that she is "sneaky" and does not know whether she is trustworthy.

Lauren nominates Sara who she feels has found reasons not to like her which makes things awkward between them. Her second nomination is for Caroline. She feels that Caroline is immature and Lauren does not like the way she talks about her parents.

Ashleigh is the next housemate to enter the diary room and nominates Benedict. She thinks that he is really rude and talks too much. Her second nomination is for Lauren because she finds her "snidey" and the pair have not “gelled”.

Becky is next into the diary room. She nominates Benedict. Becky suspects that he has come into the house with a premeditated motive. "I am nineteen years of age and nobody will ever change my opinion of anybody in the whole wide world!" she proclaims. Her second nomination is for Lauren. Becky thinks that she is "immature" and "complains about food too much".

Luke A nominates Luke S. He feels that Luke S was too territorial over the shopping list and describes him as, "Too cool for school”. His second nomination is for Caroline. He thinks that she has a nasty side to her and has upset people that he is close to in the house.

Luke S is next into the diary room and nominates Luke A. He feels that Luke A is yet to fully immerse himself in the experience and is too quiet. His second nomination is for Deana. Luke S considers Deana as “hard work” and that she seems scared to contribute in conversations.

Shievonne’s first nomination goes to Benedict. Her nomination is in response to Benedict telling Lauren that some of the girls had been talking about her. She also thinks that he has offended people in the house. Her second nomination is for Luke A. She feels as though he took a back seat when carrying out the shopping list and subsequently contributed towards ordering too many loaves of bread.

Conor nominates Deana because she has a split personality. He believes that she is too aware of the cameras and wants air time. He remarks: “She is fake”. His second nomination is for Lydia. He recognises that Lydia has been sneaky in the house and has talked behind everyone’s back.

Sara nominates Lauren as she doesn’t understand her. “There are things that I see and I don’t really understand. It is strange”. Her second nomination is for Benedict. Her nomination is in response to Benedict discussing “inappropriate” and “creepy” topics that make her and fellow housemates feel uncomfortable.

Lydia is the next housemate into the diary room. Her first nomination is for Arron and labels him a “trouble maker”. Her second nomination is for Deana and explains: “She is not happy, she is miserable”. Lydia feels that Deana has dragged her into unnecessary arguments that are affecting her own happiness in the house.

Adam is the final housemate into the diary room and nominates Becky. His second nomination is for Ashleigh. Adam does not feel that she contributes much to the house. He quips: “She doesn’t clean, cook, or help with dishes”.

With six votes each, Benedict and Lauren will face the public vote.

This week, Adam, Scott, Connor and Shievonne did not receive any nominations.

Arron is not interested in Sara - he does not see her as competition, yet.

He is a player and the most bitchy housemate in the house, he plots and spins just like Lydia that is why he had Coner vote the same way as him this week and why we saw on BBBOTS last night Coner already campaigning against Lydia and Deena for next weeks nominations.

I imagine that C5 will try to keep Benedict as he is a porn star and that seems to be the way this programme is going these days. :-? I really hope that Benedict goes though.
