There needs to be "a big cultural change" towards sport in schools if Britain is to capitalise on Team GB's Olympic wins, David Cameron has said. BBC

Stop selling school-playing-fields then!

It was on this forum (no accounting for taste, as my mother used to say.. ::lol:: ) that I announced to the world that London was successful in its bid to host the 2012 Olympic games. (As I may have mentioned before, no-one else...in the entire world...posted the news before me...I matched the BBC website to the tenth of a second).

And now, seven years later, I am so thrilled that today Ireland won a gold medal, thanks to the wonderful and inspiring Katie Taylor, a girl from my own home town. I've known her mum for years, and you couldn't come across a nicer family and a more worthy champion.

Well done Katie Taylor. God bless you!

BBC red button Olympics: dressage, women's wrestling and judo

I was reluctant to watch the top-hatted toffs in the dressage, but the magic button won me over and now I want it on all TV
