BBC1Investigation into the recent allegations of child abuse levelled at Jimmy Savile and why the activities of the former DJ, TV presenter and charity campaigner were not exposed before his death in October 2011. With Scotland Yard announcing that the inquiry is now a formal criminal matter, this special edition is likely to include a report on the reasons why a BBC Newsnight probe into his activities was dropped last December.
