Ulrika Jonsson blasts Matt Lapinskas

Ulrika Jonsson has blasted ''nauseatingly cocky'' 'Dancing on Ice' contestant Matt Lapinskas.

The 45-year-old star has slammed the show for its predictability with ''former dancers'' always taking the crown, and thinks the former 'EastEnders' actor - who is current favourite to win - is too ''desperate'' to be a worthy champion.

She said: ''I've kept half an eye on 'Dancing On Ice' since I took part back in 2007, despite the predictable outcome of a former dancer always being crowned champion.

''This year is no different. From day one, we've all known the winner is going to be former dancer Matt Limp-biscuit - a chunky monkey, one-dimensional actor best known for having played David Essex's son in 'EastEnders'.

''His desperation to win gives off a hideous stench, as does his nauseating cockiness and endless pleading for sympathy.''

Ulrika is urging viewers to create an upset and vote for gay former rugby star Gareth Thomas to take the crown.

She wrote in a column for The Sun newspaper: ''Why don't we all vote for Gareth Thomas?

''Now there's a decent hardworking, humble man who has not just been on a metaphoric journey on two blades but has faced a deeply challenging personal journey in life too.''

Beth Tweddle to bring 'sex factor' to DOI

'Dancing on Ice' professional Dan Whiston has insisted his skating partner Beth Tweddle will bring the "sex factor" to the show on Sunday (03.03.13).

Beth Tweddle will bring the "sex factor" to 'Dancing on Ice' on Sunday (03.03.13).

While the Olympic gymnast was initially shy on the ice, she is set to put in a raunchy performance on the figure skating show this weekend after developing into a "sexy little minx", according to her partner Dan Whiston.

He told The Sun newspaper: "At first she was a bit embarrassed as performing is something she had never done before, but now she has developed into a sexy little minx.

"Beth has definitely got the sex factor and she will be bringing it to the ice.

"She has got to grips with the performance side and discovered something inside herself."

Despite her early embarrassment in the competition, Beth recently revealed she has become more and more competitive as the ITV reality show has progressed.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I get quite competitive with myself and I get quite frustrated on the ice."

Matt Lapinskas topped the leader board on the show last Sunday (24.02.13) after picking up a big 36 points - the highest of the season so far - and as a result he has been reinstated as the competition's favourite.

The 'EastEnders' star can be backed at 5/6 on 888sport.com, with the brunette beauty available at 5/4 followed by rugby player Gareth Thomas (7/1), while boxer Luke Campbell is a huge outsider at 33/1.

Dancing on Ice vote cancelled after rugby star falls ill

The viewers' vote on the popular ITV show Dancing on Ice has been cancelled this evening after former international rugby player Gareth Thomas was forced to withdraw.

Fans who called into the show and want a refund from their phone vote have been told to check the Dancing on Ice website tomorrow.

After completing his first routine with partner Robin Johnstone, presenter Philip Schofield cut short an interview with Gareth because he could see that he was "swaying when he was standing beside me and it was obvious that there was something wrong".

Medics examined the sportsman after leaving the ice and decided it would be unsafe for him to participate in his second routine.
