A bit like a real-life Royle Family (Caroline Aherne does the narration), this series films families and friends around the country as they relax on their sofas watching TV. They shout, weep, gasp, grumble, swear, laugh, make inappropriate comments and argue, although not always cogently, about what they’ve watched.

While some remarks will make you shriek, I bet it’s a pretty accurate reflection of what telly addicts really think about the box.
