The Voice's Will.i.am left 'perplexed' at final public vote

The Voice coach Will.i.am has branded the final result of the show "so sad" and "unexplainable" - adding that he was "perplexed" by the public vote.

Partially sighted Andrea Begley, 27, from County Tyrone, was crowned the winner of the BBC show last night, beating hot favourite and fellow Northern Ireland contestant Leah McFall, who was on Will.i.am's team.

HOLLY WILLOUGHBY'S breasts saved The Voice finale from being a fl op after it pulled in nearly nine million viewers.

The telly talent contest showed off some impressive figures after the sexy blonde host revealed her ample assets in a low-cut black lace dress.

Her cleavage dominated Twitter, with even the BBC’s official account posting the message: “Warning. When you see what @hollywills is wearing, you might need a little lie down.”

And another impressed fan tweeted: “Holly’s boobs should be trending worldwide.”

But while most of Britain got a clear view of the 32-year-old’s curvy cleavage, the show’s shock winner missed out.

Andrea Begley, who is virtually blind, joked: “I must be the only person in the country who hasn’t seen Holly’s assets.

“I can see outlines and all my friends tell me how stunning she is.”

The Northern Irish songbird, who was mentored on the show by The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue, 32, caused a big upset as she beat bookies’ favourite Leah McFall, 23.

Her mentor, 32-year-old rapper will.i.am, ranted on Twitter about his disappointment at the result.

He raged: “Its #unexplainable...so sad... #perplexed.”

Yesterday Andrea’s song My Immortal, which she performed in the final, made No 13 in the iTunes chart.

It's after the coach tweeted his disappointment that his competing act Leah McFall didn't win the TV talent show on Saturday night.

Within minute of the result being announced, he wrote that he was "perplexed" and it was "so sad."

Andrea also told Newsbeat "lessons have been learned" after last year's winner Leanne Mitchell failed to make the chart top 100 with her debut album.

BBC apologises over Holly Willoughby dress

The BBC has apologised after viewers of The Voice complained presenter Holly Willoughby's low-cut dress was "unsuitable" for the show.

More than 100 people complained to the corporation about the 32-year-old's cleavage-revealing frock for Saturday night's live final on BBC One.

The BBC said: "We're sorry if some viewers found Holly's dress to be unsuitable."

It added the dress "was glamorous and wholly appropriate for the occasion".

The live final, which was won by Andrea Begley, was broadcast largely before the 21:00 watershed.

However it prompted some complaints from viewers who said Willoughby's black lace dress was too revealing.

In a statement, the BBC said the presented "enjoys fashion", adding: "We don't believe it (the dress) would have gone against audience expectations for a TV spectacle such as this."

Phillip Schofield, Willoughby's co-host on ITV's This Morning, also leapt to the star's defence writing on Twitter: "139 complaints over Holly's gorgeous Voice dress. Let's hope those outraged on behalf of their kids don't take them to the beach this summer."
