Is it just me or is anyone else not getting a pop up when they have a PM ...always used to

Checked my profile and everything at the right settings. I feel really rude when people have PM'd me and it appears that I have ignored them.

I was having exactly the same problem Cheekiechickie , what I did to correct the problem was put No against Notify on new Private Message: setting on my profile(im not sure but I think thats the one that directs pms into e mail inbox) and since ive done this pop up has returned, hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing this out. I was not aware of it, because I have ticked yes in both the notify by email and the notify by pop-up boxes and I have been receiving both. I will have to investigate it when I get a chance. Sorry about this.

I think it does work on mine, but I have the 'EMS free surfer' that blocks pop ups (it's very good BTW lol), but when it blocks a pop up my hard drive beeps, and I still get the 'beeps' with Pm's, so yeah, I think it works on mine! I also get an email.....will look at what my profile settings say.

ok, just looked.....I have 'yes' on all my preferences apart from the 'show my email address'

your always hidden HD, so you must have hide your online status turned on.

I sometimes dont get a pop up and sometimes do.

I still have to log in twice before it will let me post though

yep JB I was hiding for a long time lol (had a bit of a problem a few weeks ago)...I think it's all clear for me to come out now though.......so to speak!

JB, maybe it might have something to do with your actual PC's settings..maybe you have some high security thingy on. (don't you just love my grasp of techno jargon?) Also I know if I delete all my cookies(yummy) etc, I have to log in where as before I was on auto log in....after it's built up a few cookies again it auto logs me in again.

No nothing to do with my pc, nothing has changed on it, it all started when bob did whatever he did to upgrade the board or whatever.

No-one ever sends me PM's anymore so I wouldnt know
