DAILY UPDATE: DAY 21
Key highlights from tonight’s show:
• Dan puts mascara on to fill in the gaps in his beard.
• Jack and Joe argue over who gets to go in the shower first.
• Jackie discusses with Dan in the kitchen about how he is feeling after being emotional the night before.
• Charlie, Dexter and Daley take part in another mini task for 30% of the budget; they fail to guess enough answers correctly.
• Two peas in a pod task takes place with Dan and Sam taking part. They manage to catch six peas in the allotted time and pass the task to win another 30% of the shopping task. The housemates now have 60% of their weekly shopping budget.
• Jackie and Dan are in the kitchen dreaming of food.
• Gina is called to the diary room to be told about the final part of this week’s shopping task. Gina must be strapped to a spinning wheel and believe that she is having knives thrown at her to pass the task. Gina passes the task and stays on the wheel for the duration.
• Housemates choose their shopping on a tablet.
• Dan and Hazel clear the air after a few days of not speaking to each other.
• Daley and Dan discuss Wolfy’s answer to her question in the diary room about why she thinks she will win the show.
• Callum tells Dexter that he should trust him because he will see when he gets out that Callum has always backed him up.

1. Hazel is in the diary room talking about house dynamics.
Hazel “I think everyone got a bit of a shock with the shower this morning. I think it was good to get everybody up, nobody’s lying around in bed so as shocking as it is to the system its good. No arguments so far surprisingly. But it doesn’t take long for gossiping to start or for someone to say something offensive or for someone to use something somebody else wanted to use. You would never be too sure that something isn’t going to kick off because it’s always just around the corner. Everyone is on tenterhooks. I’ll just have to tolerate them for another day. Bit of a mission.”
Big Brother “Are any of your housemates not involved in any drama?
Hazel “Yeah actually perhaps Daley is not involved in drama, he is the only one that nobody has an issue with, he hasn’t fallen out with anybody. I kind of go to him when the rest of the house is going crazy and arguing about stupid things. He is very real and he doesn’t take it all on board, kind of laughs, it off so it’s nice to sit down beside someone that’s kind of going, let it go, let it go. Because I tend to be the person who kind of, if I’m at a certain stage I get really riled up and it gets the better of me so it’s nice in that sense to have someone in the house who has logic and is nice and calm and bring it back to a real level. So I am glad he is in the house actually it’s a nice bit of real.”
2. Hazel and Daley are discussing the task they have just failed.
Daley “Aww, that’s s**t man!”
Hazel “It is to do something’s that we are just not going to get. I just want a chocolate bar that’s all I care about.”
3. Joe is talking about Hazel in the diary room.
Joe “Hazel is talking to Daley a lot more recently and she is kind of keeping herself to herself and with Charlie. She used to spend a lot of time with Dan and she doesn’t anymore. It literally seemed to happen overnight. Its really strange, when you say it, it’s strange. Why would they stop talking? It makes no sense maybe she did take the warning I gave her; I only said they should stop whispering to each other because if you whisper you have something to hide. Let’s be honest.”
4. Sam & Dan are in the living room discussing tasks and feelings in the house.
Dan “If you want to get involved in it?”
Sam “But I wont be able to hear any of the instructions?”
Dan “No you will.”
Sam “I really want to do it, because I feel like I am not helping.”
Dan “You will be able to do it. You probably will.”
Sam “I really want to do it for the team. Don’t just do it to satisfy me. Just do it for the team.”
Dan “Don’t worry about it.”
Sam “Thanks Dan boy. Good man…Feeling better after yesterday?”
Dan “Yeah a bit, yeah. I feel a bit tired.”
Sam “Spoken to Hazel yet?”
Dan “No… We’ll see what happens.”
Sam “You’re only her once. Just enjoy it. Even if you feel like an outsider in the house just do it.”
Dan “Your mind takes over.”
Sam “Don’t let it take over. Try not to think too much just go with the flow. ”
Dan “Cheers mate, that’s right.”
5. Charlie and Dan are in the living room discussing Hazel and Daley’s relationship.
Charlie “Do you think it’s worth making aware to either or leave them to it.”
Dan “Do you feel it’s more one person or the other? Or both or what?”
Charlie “Both, but maybe one a bit more.”
Dan “Which one?”
Charlie “I don’t want to say.”
Dan “I am picking up on an attraction there from her point of view. I might be wrong.”
Charlie “Could be wrong. No I haven’t spoken to her about it either.”
Dan “But I’m kind of sensing it more. Do you think that as well? There is more to it than being friendly.”
Charlie “I tried to say last time when I brought it up if there is something and you can’t help it then that is fine…Leave it to the outside world.”
Dan “Did you mention it to her? She needs to be a bit careful then in that sense. But we’ll see.”
6. Gina is in the diary room discussing tasks.
Big Brother “How is the house today Gina?”
Gina “Very very quiet and just a bit weird I am quite intrigued to know what the number one would be on the task today and I hope it has something to do with. I hope something is in my hands today; I just hope so. I just want something like that. I feel like I am the only person in this house that is finding it really really difficult because I feel like a lot of people are childish, even the oldest woman in the house who is 59 and 60 this year I feel that, I think that she might be the most childish person in here. It’s quite worrying.”
7. Charlie and Hazel discuss developing relationships in the house.
Charlie “Me and Dan were talking about how they haven’t put anyone in here; we were talking about the cameras in the night time. Usually there is action going on in the night. That they haven’t put any people in realistically that could get together. Because of girlfriends and boyfriends, we were surprised if you go through every single person, we are surprised that there is not anyone who could get together. Regardless of anything because certain people have got girlfriends and boyfriends and the age differences and then there is no two possible people who would have worked. The only two people that they could have thought that would have worked would have been you and Callum or me with Callum.”
Hazel “Were you just discussing dynamics in the house?”
Charlie “No we were discussing you and Daley.”
8. Charlie talks to Big Brother in the diary room about saying the wrong thing again.
Charlie “I have once again managed to put my foot in it as per usual. I was chatting to Dan about relationship dynamics and we briefly mentioned Hazel and Daley and I being my usual panicky self thought that Daley had overheard because we were talking about it when he was nearby. Then I ran into the bedroom and told Hazel the conversation because it was, not a guilty thing, but I wanted to be the first to just explain and say by the way we had a bit of a chat about love dynamics. Then Hazel went really funny with me. And then I started being all paranoid in my head. I need to be less sensitive and appreciate I haven’t done anything wrong. I have literally been a normal human being and discussed what people are probably thinking. It’s difficult because you don’t want to say too much in the house because you don’t want Daley’s girlfriend to read too much into it and because Hazel is a very private person and doesn’t like to be talked about and equally I need to get stuff off my chest.”
9. Hazel and Daley are in the living room discussing how people perceive their friendship.
Daley “All eyes, all eyes.”
Hazel “Yeah. I’m getting really sick of it to be honest.”
Daley “It’s stupid though.”
Hazel “I feel like I can’t speak to you again today.”
Daley “But that’s stupid. Because we look like idiots, I was thinking I should stay away from you.”
Hazel “Yeah well it was nice knowing you. I am sure we will see each other in passing…I don’t know whether you’re more the issue over both of us I think it might be... you get me?”
Daley “Me. But why though? Because I am closer to you.”
Hazel “That a particular person might have an issue with it. Because that person might like you. I’m just saying because it wouldn’t be such an issue otherwise.”
Daley “Yeah. The thing is you are stuck in this house 24/7 you can’t help who you get on with.”
Hazel “That’s my point, I get on with you. I like sitting with you so we can’t avoid each other we have a kitchen, a garden and a bedroom. I like hanging out with you because you’re cool.”
Daley “If we did avoid each other then you can win because people would think stuff even more.”
Hazel “I don’t particularly want to like have to satisfy anyone else in here and avoid you. Just to entertain them or to satisfy them.”
10. Dexter and Charlie are in the garden talking.
Dexter “I haven’t really actually got a problem with Wolfy.”
Charlie “Do you think she is going to do well?”
Dexter “Tactically and obviously from a tactical point of view and I said it to her face yesterday but it would benefit the situation if she was out.”
11. Dan and Wolfy make up and clear the air in the kitchen.
Dan “Your nomination I totally respect and understand. I know we have had a bit of an up and down relationship in the house.”
Wolfy “I have never said anything like that. The only thing I have said that was really pissing me off is the interrogation.”
Dan “And I understand, Wolfy I totally understand, I expected it and we did have eye contact when you gave your nomination. I was nodding. I agreed. But you know I have said it to you pretty much there are things that don’t add up in some ways and..”
Wolfy “People are very sceptical, I have heard the conversations because I have always been right when nature talks to me, because nature is never wrong. And people are like Big Brother must be feeding her information how does she know…that’s just sceptism and logic…if you do go, which I don’t think you will but you will see like how ******* upset I was. I was upstairs in the diary room like (crumpled) that on the chair and I was like honestly because I had never really felt like that before because I am such a peaceful person and avoid confrontation. Sounds stupid when I first came in I was naive and trusted everyone, how f***ing quickly someone can swallow their words.”
Dan “And look Wolfy if I come out if I do go Friday and I see I was wrong about you, I was wrong to be suspicious of you. That will be my only regret. That my suspicions have not only made me be friends with you in here as such but it has also meant I have had an early departure which I don’t think would have happened.”
12. Daley and Charlie discuss Hazel.
Daley “Me and Hazel are close and it runs deep but not in a deep way that I am going to f**k up anything. Even when I get out there is still hope. I am not going to f**k it up. We get on really really well. If u am sitting with Hazel for longer than five minutes everyone’s like ooo. So yeah I make sly comments with her, yeah I giggle with her. I give her the eye because that’s what everyone thinks anyway so why not banter with it.”
13. Dan and Hazel are talking about Charlie on the stairs.
Dan “You know she says the wrong things most of the time. And then she beats herself up over it.”
Hazel “Listen, maybe Charlie is into Daley and doesn’t…”
Dan “I remember you both saying to me a few days ago that Daley has said that Charlie is giving daggers whenever you two are talking. But look I am going to be totally honest with you; I do see something between you two. I do see something there from both of your points of view but at the end of the day Daley will do what he will do and I know that you wont do anything in this house for a start and I don’t even need you to answer the question but maybe there is a bit of attraction there.”
