BIG BROTHER: SHOPPING TASK
‘NEMESIS’


OVERVIEW
Paired housemates, as chosen by Big Brother, will go head-to-head in one of four challenges as each other’s nemesis. Charlie will act as a referee for the opponents. On each head-to-head round, the non-competing Housemates will secretly vote for who they think the winner will be.

If the majority vote for the correct outcome they will win 25% of the shopping budget, if the majority guess wrong they will gain 0%, but if the vote was split evenly they will win 12.5%. However the competing Housemates will be offered a secret incentive of £20 of their own shopping budget to spend to ensure that they try their hardest to win.

HOW IT WORKS
The task begins with two professional wrestlers, wrestling in the sports ring in the garden. The wrestlers then enter the bedroom and awaken the other Housemates. They explain the challenge in brief (Housemates will go up against each other), give each Housemate their training costumes and wrestler names and instruct them on how to trash talk. These pairs are now each other’s nemesis, and will go head-to-head in one of four different challenges. Each Housemate will be given a wrestling name such as Sophie Slamdown and costume and must incorporate this persona for the whole of the task.

TRASH TALKING
To build up their individual rivalries, each Housemate is no longer allowed to talk to their nemesis, unless they are trash talking them. This means that polite conversation between nemeses is now banned, but telling them they “haven’t got a chance!” is ok. As referee, Charlie must ensure that opponents only communicate through trash talk.

To help visually keep track of the task, a large ‘Vs.’ board is displayed in the house to illustrate which Housemate is paired up with whom.

CHANGING ROOMS
Before each task the competitors will go into the small task room which has become a dressing room, and change into their wrestling outfits.

PRESS CONFERENCE AND VOTING
After changing the competitors will meet at a press conference, held in the large task room, where they will get to ‘trash talk’ each other in front of the entire house. Other Housemate will also get to question them about their match, before they place their vote. Referee Charlie will chair the press conference and select which Housemates can ask a question.

After the press conference Housemates will be asked to secretly vote for who they believe will win the head to head. Housemates will not be allowed to discuss or in any way imply who they voted for. Referee Charlie will monitor the Housemates to ensure that they vote confidentially. If the majority of the Housemates guess the outcome of the challenge correctly then the house will win 25% of the shopping budget, if the vote is split they will receive 12.5% and if they vote incorrectly then they will not win any of the shopping.

Big Brother will also separately invite both contestants in the head-to-head to the diary room and offer them £20 worth of shopping of their choice completely separate from the house budget if they win their battle.

TRIGGERS
Throughout the two days Housemates will have to complete a number of trigger tasks. Three training stations will be set up in the living area; ‘The Exercise Station,’ ‘The Protein Station’ and ‘The Posing Station’. The opponents can be called to the stations at any point to take part in one of these triggers.

HEAD TO HEAD TASKS:
The Housemates will have a chance to train in the build up to their head to head task against their nemesis. These tasks will all be staged in a wrestling style stage in the garden, to give them that authentic fight night atmosphere. Housemates will each enter the ring to their own wrestling style entrance music. Charlie will referee each match and ensure that they are playing to Big Brother’s rules.

RAMPED UP REACTIONS: - SOPHIE AND SAM
Housemates must be the quickest to react to the stimulus of a pop up button. A line of holes which a button can pop out of will lay equidistant between the two Housemates who are attached to bungee cords. Only one button will pop up at a time and the first Housemate to press the button wins a point. First to 3 points wins.

FLINCH OFF- DEXTER AND CALLUM
Sitting underneath a buzz wire which will buzz if the Housemates make contact with it. Housemates will go face-to-face to take part in a dramatic challenge of nerves, where the first to move their head loses.

Using a range of horrible props/distractions two assistants, will try to make the competing Housemates flinch and move their heads. The Housemate who last the longest without flinching will be declared the winner. The props will be things like an octopus tentacle, cold water, rotten fish, a cow’s tongue and chicken’s feet.

Earlier today, via the time-honoured medium of shouty wrestlers, Big Brother gave the housemates their weekly shopping task: Nemesis. In this dramatically-named task, the housemates have all become wrestlers, sort of.

They've got wrestler names like Hotshot Hazel, Dexter the Devious, Cowboy Callum and Sophie Slamdown. They've got wrestler outfits. They've got raw eggs as a nutrition choice. And of course, because the task is all about nemeses, they've each got a nemesis.

So let's analyse the nemeses!

Hotshot Hazel vs Gina Warrior Princess
This is the only nemesis pairing that has been announced to the House so far, and it was hardly a surprise. Though these two get on quite well on the surface, Gina has made no secret of the fact that she has very little love for Hazel. Their battle is sure to get pretty sticky, so, er, stick around.

Cowboy Callum vs Dexter the Devious
Another pair of nemeses as plain as the nose on your face, these two barely go a day without a nice long chat. Unfortunately, these chats are always about how much they dislike each other. Their battle will be a battle of bravery.

Slamdown Sophie vs Sam the Strong
This rivalry is perhaps the quietest of them all, but these two haven't really seen eye to eye since the early days and, with Sam nominating Sophie this week, it seems that even their spell in the Safe House couldn't fix that rift. This battle will be one of strength and speed, and while you might think Sam's a shoo-in, never forget that Sophie is a karate master!

Jackadore vs The Jaded Joeker
That's right, the twins themselves will be facing up as nemeses. We don't even know what their battle will entail, because it's shrouded in mystery and intrigue but with their enviable trash talking skills, we're really hoping it's a task that tests their motormouths.

Yesterday housemates became each others ultimate nemeses.

Gina took on Hazel in ‘Stick Down.’ After the press conference the rest of the housemate’s unanimously voted that Hazel would win the challenge. As Hazel won 2 rounds in a row she was crowned the ‘Stick Down’ champion. Therefore the housemates won 25% of their shopping budget and Hazel was awarded £20 extra to spend on the shopping budget..

Callum and Dexter went head to head on a ‘Flinch Off.’ Once again the housemates voted unanimously, this time in favour of Callum’s victory. After several rounds Callum was declared the winner:

Feather Dusters
Spaghetti
Fish Gunge
Cold Water

Therefore the housemates, won another £25 and Callum was awarded £20 extra to spend on the shopping budget.

SHOPPING TASK: NEMESIS DAY 2

TRIGGERS
Throughout today housemates will have to complete a number of trigger tasks. Three stations will be set up in the living area; ‘Protein Power Up,’ ‘Sweat It Off’ and ‘Pose Off’. Housemates can be called to the stations at any point to take part in one of these triggers. At ‘Protein Power Up’ housemates must drink 5 raw eggs. At ‘Sweat It Off’ housemates must perform sit ups whilst chanting ‘I am X and I am a winner. At ‘Pose Off’ housemates must cover themselves in baby oil and strike their best wrestler style poses.

UNBALANCED – JACK AND JOE
Housemates must try to be the quickest to get from one end of a balance beam to the other, while their nemesis attempts to slow their progress by throwing foam balls at them. The balance beam will have poles which must be stepped over and under across them, as well as check points which the housemates must touch. Housemates will have to take their time and go slowly and carefully. If they fall of the beam they or miss a checkpoint they must return to the start and try again.

RAMPED UP REACTIONS: - SOPHIE AND SAM

Only one button will pop up at a time and the first housemate to press the button wins a point. First to 3 points wins.

TASK RESOLVE: NEMESIS DAY 2


For today’s task The Jaded Joker took on The Jackador in 'Unbalanced' and Sophie Slamdown faced Strongman Sam in 'Ramped Up Reactions'.

After the press conference this morning housemates voted 4-2 that The Jackador would beat The Jaded Joker in 'Unbalanced'. The Jaded Joker competed first and completed the balance beam in 1 minute and 34 seconds. The Jackador went second and completed the balance beam in 1 minute 44 seconds. Therefore The Jaded Joker was the crowned the 'Unbalanced' champion and the housemates did not win any of their shopping budget percentage. As The Jaded Joker was victorious he won £20 to individually spend on top of any shopping budget won.

This afternoon housemates voted 4-2 that Strongman Sam would beat Sophie Slamdown in 'Ramped Up Reactions'. Housemates were correct, with Strongman Sam being the first to push 12 out of 16 pop up buttons. Therefore housemates won another 25% of their shopping budget and Strongman Sam won another £20 to individually spend on top of any shopping budget won.

Therefore at the end of Nemesis housemates have won 75% of their shopping budget which is £375. Cowboy Callum, Hotshot Hazel, The Jaded Joker and Strongman Sam have won £20 each extra to spend on top of their shopping budget.

Day 50: Hazel's had enough

Much to Hazel's surprise, Gina takes the opportunity to tell Hazel how she feels about their time in the ring yesterday.. www.channel5.com
Gina is so jealous of Hazel it has fuddled her brain. The rules of the task were they had to trash talk each other - both of them passed - in the wrestling task you won if and when you got your opponent on their back, for five seconds - Hazel won. For Gina to now add "Bully"to her ongoing perniciousness is taking jealousy way to far of the mark.
