Well, yes! On Millionairre, they just showed it, and its pretty obvious... I guess they mght have had the coughing amped up, but those timimngs would be wayyy too much of a coincidence!

Sorry the evidence looks pretty much that way. But he's already been tried and found guilty once, now he's being tried again on the television. If I were him I would find it difficult to live with the shame. ITV are making the most of this. We mustn't forget these people have children.

Yeah they cheated although having Martin Bashir reporting lost some credibility! They were very greedy and, as mentioned on the programme, should have stopped at 125k and would probably have got away with it They should have thought of their children before they tried to *steal* a million.

Quite right Lyns, I think we should feel NO remorse for these peoples children, they put them in the situation NOT ITV, Celador or anyone else, they did it themselves, they took the chance to cheat and got caught thus shadowing their children in shame and humiliation, I watched the program, and also watched bits of the actually show after on ITV2 and I have to say it's no suprise that they were caught its DAMN obvious!!!!!

They deserve everything they get for being greedy!!!!!!
No their children didnt ask for any of this but at the end of the day they really shouldve thought about their children first!

One thing I dont understand is I know loads of people that ring to go on the show several times a day, yet they never get called up - Major Ingram, his wife and brother-in-law all got on the show, his mate also got on (on the same damn program) and several of the other fastest finger first contestants had been on numerous times....HOW???????? I've also seen contestants get in the chair and Chris Tarrent says "this is so and so's third time on millionaire but his first in the hot seat"........is that fixed or so these people just get lucky repeatedly...doesnt seem fair to me, if you've been a FFF contestant and not got a go in the hot seat then why should you be allowed to try again?

Well, yes they blatantly cheated so didn't deserve the money, but they should have stopped the programme at the time.....in a football match the ref doesn't watch the game after and say ''oh I should have given a red card for that''......also, Celador should have paid for the trial, not us taxpayers considering Celador have made loads of money from the ratings of this 'major fraud' programme and priceless publicity for a programme thats ratings were flagging!

Yes they should have thought of their children, but the kids are not to blame and can you imagine what their lives are like now?

Well I feel just a tad bit sorry for them if I'm truly honest.
I know cheats have all that's coming to them and all that, but I bet Celador think this is just great....I bet they can't believe their luck, free publicity, renewed interest in a programme that everyone had got bored of, and now they are talking about making a film about it. If someone was gonna make a film about ME I would want to get paid.
I'm sure no one will aggree with me.

Im still unsure, I saw an interview with him today and one thing he said stuck out. In the center of the stage he said hear heard no coughing or if he did he didnt assosiate it to anything, and he said the only other person who can give a valid opinion on the truth of that statemenet is Chris Tarrant, who also said he didnt hear or distinguish any coughing.
The program they obviously turned the volume level on the coughers mic up to emfasis it.
I dont know either way.
I think people are being to quick to jusmp on the bandwagon, and ITV are making a small fortune with the exposure, and that is before the movie rights, and yes they are already in talks.

Sometimes you don't hear things in the background if you are concentrating on something else but that doesn't mean that if you were expecting to hear a cough you wouldn't be able to hear it.

I'll hold my hand up and say I was sceptical from the minute that Martin Bashir walked in but how do we explain him very obviously changing his mind so many times? "Berlin, it's got to be Berlin" and then after the cough, no, "Paris, it's definitely Paris"????

Oh I'm in no doubt that they were cheating....my point is that Celador has made far more than the million they could have lost out of this.
They should think themselves lucky that someone came up with this scam....in fact I bet they do!
