This is what someone has written on the Channel 4 forum, so I don't know how true it is:-

BB website, Big Brother Online, were talking to BB fan Avid Merrion at a recent party, and he let slip to the website that he could be entering the house this year. For the full story, see HERE

As with any 'rumours' - they are just that at present. Nobody would dare to leak major info from Endemol/C4 and they have ways of knowing just who has said what if that happens.

The colour scheme has been well reported, but based on...? Not fact, just journo's reading boards like this!

Why don't we make some wild stories up, make sure someone posts them to the C4 website forum, and see if that story does not make it into the papers within a few days ? They often do...

On the other hand, some rumours do turn out to be true. Last year I was adamant about there being 'hidden' rooms - the outside loo was revealed eventually, during the rich/poor divide, but the second bathroom (outside, between the loo and store-room 2) was kept hidden. I felt sure there was something upstairs too, apart from the camera runs, but this was never seen or later revealed. They've stripped the inners of the house, to re-do the lot (after it got flooded out with a burst pipe!) so it will look different when we do see it.

Rumour:- There will be more girls than boys this year !

Rumour:- Nothing stronger than lager or cider - ie, no wine!

Rumour:- All the bedding and towels will be shades of purple and turquoise

Rumour:- The toilet cam will feature in the broadcasts at last

Rumour:- Dermot will get to sneak in and take an item of clothing for a comp prize

Rumour:- After Jade's minging verucca last time, all housemates have to wear rubber slippers (flip flops etc) in the shower

Rumour:- Housemates will be able to choose a DVD/video per week to watch

Rumour:- One housemate will be a 'plant' who will be able to stir up problems without getting into trouble for it

Rumour:- They will have a new swimming pool this year

Rumour:- Instead of birds or trains, the dubbed sound when someone swears etc. will be Tori Amos, played backwards

Rumour:- Having had a gay person every series, this year is finally the turn of the transvestite (see rumour 1 above)

Rumour:- Winner of weekly task will be immune from nomination/public vote the week after

Rumour:- Housemates will be requested to cook more vegetable based meals than meat

Rumour:- In first week there will be public nomination, top 3 will be voted for, TWO will leave

Rumour:- A long-term divorced single mother will be included, looking to add to her family...

Rumour:- Any housemate wishing to leave before being voted out will have to pay a large fine to Endermol as part of contract

Rumour:- Some games will be provided full-time, not given as treats to be removed later - unless they are mis-used

Rumour:- Infringement of the BB rules will result in bigger losses than before - like confiscation of ALL alcohol, not just a few cans.

Rumour:- Housemates will be given clues about a secret room

Rumour:- BB4 just made all of these up !

Please, NOT RABID AVID, he does my brain in.

Yet another rumour floating about, this time on nominations...

Word has it that the housemates will still have two choices but whoever they name first gets 2 point, the second gets one point - and points are then what counts.

That actually sounds quite good and if it's not already true then Endermol should take the idea up!

I liked the one about having a golf buggy to take the evictee from the bottom of the stairs to the studio - saves Davina having to waddle her way along (not being nasty about her bum, I mean while she's pregnant)

Also hearing that Italian BB added 2 new housemates with only 4 weeks left to go - not popular with either existing housemates or the public from what I can gather.

Given the flow of ex housemates into the DJ business they should have 'Radio Big Brother' - put a small studio in and let the housemates broadcast from the house ? BB could control this by giving them a touch-screen system, as used by many radio stations now anyway, with pre-programmed playlists - they just have to read off what the song is and press a button to play. That way any radio station manager would know how bad they are before suggesting they do a guest spot for them!

Imagine the marketing potential for a Big Brother t-shirt if they gave a couple to each housemate to wear in the house - we'd all be rushing out to buy one.

The tea-bag bin is set to return as well, wonder if they'll have a clue what it is this time?

Then again, will we get many contestants who have half an idea of what BB is about anyway? Anyone who's watched it before would know about the cameras behind the mirrors - unlike Dim Tim (as in chest shaving clip) who thought it was just the ones he could see!

Strange how the production team have ordered 16 single and 3 double quilt covers - or is that another rumour that's just been made up ? Perhaps they want a couple of spares in case of damage/sickness

The idea of bringing a pair of identical twins into the house came up again, with the suggestion that BB would swap them over from time to time - they being the 'mole' that would cause disruption.

As for the live feeds - E4 should still be free to watch via the red button but they are to use RealOne again as the transport for a 'net feed - with the monthly charge in place. I was still being charged long after BB3 finished and it took a while to get a refund, but it came eventually.

And, an idea nicked from the Simpsons perhaps, the BBQ will be in kit form and the HM's will have to build it before they can use it !?

Heat magazine is quoted as saying it will start on May 23rd, but nobody has confirmed that yet. Guess they're able to add their own rumours ?

Although I didn't see the paper, the Daily Star recently had a big splash on page one about one of the BB4 HM's being a transsexual...

Wonder where they got that info from, have they been reading the rumours here ? Not much on other websites, apart from the kiddie-infested C4 forum - you just start reading a topic there and it gets deleted 'cos the moderators have spotted a swear word in a message in the thread...

I took a look at the link to The Daily Star page via Sky News from another forum on BB Fans but the pic isn't readable, so I've no idea what was said now. The paper's own website does not give anything either - guess you have to buy the paper on the day or something ?

Having had the opportunity to work with some trans people I can say that the female-to-male TS can be VERY difficult to spot! If they've been on hormones and had surgery then you need to look very closely to be able to tell! There are some convincing male-to-female TS's too, although lots of trannies do bear more than a passing resemblence to Lily Savage. Just take a look around the Village in Manchester on a Saturday night... Not knocking anyone for what they want to do, but anyone who's had any involvement will understand what I mean.

It's quite possible that we would not notice a transsexual within the group, unless they were 'outed' by the press or something ! Now there's a thought, wonder how many people will be looking that bit closer when the HM's are revealed ?

Hot off the end of a builders shovel...

A workman has mentioned a new type of microphone system in the shower area of the BB house. It seems that the audio wasn't used so much before, due to the sound of the shower blanking the conversation out. This year they've got some sophisticated noise-reducing filter that brings out the talking a lot better.

This has been extended to the garden area as well, due to housemates removing microphones whilst in the pool. So, even if you see them slashing about - you'll hear the chat, not the water.

BB3 had SO many rumours,which in many ways true,like the Catwalk model rumour,who was Alex,the twin rumour,Kate has a twin sister,the transvestite,Sandy turned up in a skirt! So i rekon we should keep are eyes wide open for any rumours!

Ouch - that's upset any Scots! It was a home-made kilt, seemed Sandy was in for a bit of dressmaking and sewing, as long as he could say it was because of his ancestry ?

As for the rumours - there are always plenty before the show starts and it seems Endermol are getting worried about a few that have appeared, the will not confirm if they are true (or even which ones) but word has it they are concerned how the info has leaked out.

The 'teasers' are due to start this coming weekend - where you see a quick flash of the BB 'eye' during advert breaks. I've heard some mini-ads are already going out on E4 but I've not seen one yet. The mini-ads for the big event should start on C4 the week afterwards. Purple and Turquiose on a Silver background is what one rumour says - not sure where the silver came from. Wasn't in any of the other rumours I heard...

Then again - a Pilot has been mentioned as a possible contestant, I'm waiting to see if there is an Anne Diamond type character - older woman with a mothering attitude. An earlier rumour suggested a single mum might be in there.

The C4 forum is full of it this morning - someone linking to their own website with 'exclusive news' that tells us nothing, trying to quash a couple of rumours and adding a couple more. Things like 'no palm trees', but there is a sauna and bunk beds. Claims that the winner will NOT get £70,000 this year - but will have use of a house for 6 months...? No pig, no divide/bars, and Avid will not enter the house after all. - NOT me saying this is true, or not, just what's been posted elsewhere.

In another C4 thread someone has posted "the names of 3 housemates that have already been picked" - Dylan from Nottingham, Ben from Stoke and Gemma from Bristol, so he/she says.

All speculation at this point, of course, not like rumours already posted here some time ago


Rumour: One of the questions in this years application asked "have you been laid on a Club 18-30 holiday", only those saying Yes (and giving graphic details or providing photos) would move on to the next stage of selection...
... Wonder how true that one is ?

Apparently, the paper said that the transsexual is a boy to girl in her late 20's and that she has got through to the final 100.
