04/09/2014 04:01 PM Victim was found dead in an Edmonton garden A WOMAN is believed to have been beheaded in a back garden in Edmonton, north London.
The victim was found at an address in Nightingale Road, Edmonton, at around 1.07pm, police said.
In a statement, the Met Police said: "On arrival officers discovered a female collapsed in a garden area."
A man has been detained and is in custody.
Detectives said there is no suggestion that the killing had any terrorist motive.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) said they sent an air Ambulance, an ambulance crew and a duty manage to the scene.
In a statement, LAS said: "Sadly a woman was found dead at the scene."
At this stage it is unknown whether the victim and the suspect were known to each other.
