24 Hours in Police Custody
SERIES 1 - 1. THE CONSPIRACY TO MURD
Channel 4 Mon 29th Sep 9pm - 10:20pm
Repeat: Channel 4 +1 Mon 29 Sep 10pm
Repeat: 4seven Mon 29 Sep 11:05pm

1/5. This documentary from the makers of 24 Hours in A&E follows the work of Bedfordshire Police round-the-clock, from the cells at Luton to the operational heart of major investigations and interrogation rooms. The first edition opens with the arrest of man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. While driving to work, the victim was hit from behind by another vehicle, and while inspecting the damage was shot in the leg at close range by someone wielding a sawn-off shotgun. Detectives believe the case arises from a potential love triangle that has spiralled out of control - and have just 24 hours to gather sufficient evidence to bring charges, or release the suspect.
