C4 have a policy of removing posts such as this - blatant advertising for (yet) another BB board.

The link could go to a porn site for all anyone knows, it has happened like that! As such the link has been disabled, that does not prevent people 'getting in touch' if they should wish to do so.

When I originally read this thread there were a couple of posts which have now been withdrawn by their writer.... it was these that I found made this discussion confusing.

Yes, I think I'll have to have an advertising forum and charge people to advertise!

I think you should Christine ! There's absolutely no reason whatsoever why some money should not be raised to go towards the costs of running this excellent site. In addition this approach might put an end to the rather boring & tiresome efforts that other sites go to in order to get some free publicity here.

This is surely not the place for advertising jobs on another person's web site. I find this a most peculiar thing to do.

Right, of course ! Straight away ! More free publicity for your site! How utterly outrageous of us to deviate from discussing this worthy cause.

Although the 'blatant' link was removed, there is still a way for people to get in touch via the buttons for PM, email, MSN and so on - as long as they have been set up in that member's profile of course.

However, people who come here tend to stay as BBFans has a more mature feel than some of the latest creations - it's been here longer, 'older' people tend to use it and there have been some really sneaky adverts - which are quickly deleted.
