According to the News of the World today, the producers of BB have automatically rejected anyone over the age of 40. An insider said that Sandy who was 43 didn't interreact very well with the other housemates and said he hated it. The applicants have been whittled down to the final 50 and BB starts on Friday 23rd. May.

This is such an ageist way to do a TV show.

I think having a couple of over 40s, or even 50s, would add another dimension to the programme. And don't they realise that the more mature viewer may not watch as there is no one there to identify with.

I thought Cags from series one was great, loads of fun, and she was pushing 40 wasn't she? *miiiaaaow* (saucer of milk for table five!!) :D

Having said that, I thought Sandy was a bit rubbish and boring last year.

And no I'm not in my 40s either, I'm a very, er, youthful, 33.

I'll be forty this year  Still not worried about being ruled out for BB - love watching it but there is not way I would enter. If I wanted to get torn to bits by the public I could always streak at lords.

I really wanted a weekend shopping trip in New York but thought that would be very naughty as we haven't managed a proper family holiday for about 7 years so put that on hold till i'm 50
