Hello there.

I am writing from RI:SE, the Channel 4 breakfast TV programme. We are very much looking forward to covering the latest series of Big Brother on our show. From next week we are planning to run a competition to find the biggest BB fans in the country - who will then be invited to come and stay in our studios and be our dedicated BB monitors.

If you know of anyone at all who might be suitable and interested in entering our competition, would you please forward this mail to them, with my contact details?

Thank you very much, happy BB4 watching!

Just spoke to Rick at RI:SE - this is a genuine post.

What they are looking for is 'someone' to be a dedicated BB monitor - in their studio 'shrine' - who will have access to DIRECT feeds from Endermol (not via Real or E4) direct to RI:SE studio's. They will monitor things in the house and will need to press an 'alarm' button if anything exciting happens - this will let RI:SE researchers know to watch that bit etc.

Obviously it's a full-time 'job' for the duration of the show - RI:SE will cover travelling and accommodation, and will 'feed' the lucky person as well. If anyone here is interested this will be featured on RI:SE next week as a 'competition' but BBFans members are able to contact Rick directly IF they can do this. No point calling if you can't get time off work, are 'too young' to be let loose in London for 9 weeks, or anything like that.

How this pans out is difficult to say - people will be popping into the RI:SE studio's throughout the 9 weeks, so someone could be mingling with the celebs ? And, of course, they will be seen on the show itself.

Rick sent this email:
Quote:
Hi Gordon,

Thanks very much for calling - was good to speak to you. If you could
put your 'feelers' out for anyone who you think would love to come down
and watch the live feed from the house 24/7 as our RI:SE BB4 monitor,
that'd be fantastic!

My email address, for anyone of your members who would like to get in
touch, is

development@risetv.co.uk

That goes to both Fred and myself.

Cheers,

Rick

There ya go folks !

Ready to go down to London for 9 weeks? They'll provide the bed and everything - you just get to watch non-stop (uncensored?) BB4 right the way through...

I know I couldn't do it - too many commitments here - but would have loved to have gone if I could. Obviously more suited to someone in the south who can get back home now and again to feed the cat etc.

Almost as good as going into the house ?

Hello again.

The direct feed in our studio 'shrine' will be from C4 I believe - so may be subject to a 5 minute delay.

And we are not really expecting anyone to last the full 9 weeks! Although if someone could, that'd be awesome... But more realistically, if you think you could take a week or so off, and come on down to RI:SE - watch out for our competition trails at the end of this week!

If you have any queries, please do email us.

Thank you BB fans!

The other good thing is being given the details of housemates - so you don't have to try and remember names before you've got used to them all!
I'm useless with names, couldn't think what Jade was called for probably the first two weeks of BB3 !
Let's see if anyone from here manages to get this chance at RI:SE ? Let us know if you do folks !

I just actually phoned the bloke up to ask.

Obviously I'm 14, which means I'm a bit too young to appear on the show covering big brother (eg. adult scenes etc.) but they claimed they wud visit my site and get back to me with anything else they wanted.

I tried! :D
