A few points from an interview with Peter Bazalgette of Endemol UK -

- Last year BB in the UK made Endemol £5million from text messaging alone.

- Total votes cast for BB3 was 25 million compared to BB2's 16 million.

- BB3 final scored C4's best ever ratings with 9.9 million viewers.

- Bazelgette rejects suggestion that Reality TV has run out of steam.........''When a new idea is added to the canon of television genres .... you can't disinvent it. You spend the next decade reinventing it.''

- Among future variations of BB being considered are versions in which would be contestants are all of different religions or all politicos or all gay.

- Bazelgate insists that BB is not exploitative but 'Temptation Island ' is.

Wow...i knew last years was a sucess, but i didnt know it was quite that much of a sucess, considering most people i know say bb3 was the worst so far and too messed up from the original format!
Dang...guess that means from now on all BB's will be like #3!

Hey, they can only get better! The last one was the worst, them bars they put up ruined it i think. it made sandy leave!!!

I agree that BB3 was the worst, but I'm glad it happened, and I'm glad those 14 people were put into the house. If the tasks weren't changed, and the bars put up, then we would be wondering what might have been. BB3 served it's purpose, and let the producers know that the viewers like change, but not too much of it!

As for a teenage, religious BB - forget about it! I think it's nice to have normal BB once a year and then Celeb BB for charity! BB is getting sooooo many viewers, and nearly everyone you meet watches it, so why spoil a good thing?
