Sometimes I think yes I want Jon to win but then I remember his 70k pay cheque and my prejudices of city slickers. Much as I think I like Jon, I am also worried that I and others could be taking for a ride. He works in a competitive environment and probably worked with and against tougher people than what he has met in the house. He has had to compete for his job and probably had to fight people off from taking his job away from him.

I can’t help thinking that he is playing a game still and with his background he probably knows what the other housemates feel about him, but this weirdness he displays could it be an act? To get the other housemates not to like him, we know from previous years when an housemate is disliked for being different the public tend to support and feel sorry for that housemate.

But then again I could be feeling this way because I am prejudiced towards city slickers.

I really hope I am wrong and Jon is what he seems.

I don't think you are wrong.

He has the intelligence required to manipulate exactly the way he wants to be portrayed.

That implies a very specific sterotype, of which John is NOT one. He lives in Staines for pete's sake !

Yes, he is competative, but I think he's more scared of the others in the house than he would let on. He's constantly aware the cameras are there and is being very reserved, but I don't think he's hiding his "true" personality. He's being who he is, just maybe not as full-on. I am kinda like him and have MANY friends who are the same.

Oh, and his 70k pay check is quite normal for people that do what he does. I to am an IT consultant and earn the same.

krazyvader thats why my title of my post is prejudice, whether he works in the City or not I am honest to admit that I am weary of someone whom has achieved that success. I know it is wrong. I also know of IT managers and consultants, one is a member of my family so I have heard a lot of horror stories.

So you're of the opinion that we didn't EARN our success somehow ??
That we just trod on those that got in our way ??

There are hundreds, no, thousands of us IT consultants out there earning that sort of money, and believe me.... the majority of us work bl**dy hard for it !!

I am aware of the title of your post, that you admit you are prejudice and that you know it's wrong. But I don't like people who are prejudice. Simple as that.

I didn't mean that, I have just said a member of my family is in IT, whom I love dearly I just remember him telling me some of the horror stories he has to put up with in his work with the business he is in. If you are in IT then you must know that there is alway someone after your job which is the same for someone I know.

Sure, I've seen some complete a-holes in my line of work, but that's no need to become prejudice against all of us !
