I am SO ANGRY
Just got a parking ticket for being considerate
Went to pick up my son from school, the road is a 2 way street, very narrow and was very packed with cars so I parked with 2 wheels on the pavement. Anyway (I know I'm not supposed to BTW) I got a ticket.
Asked the traffic warden if I had of parked without wheels on kerb would I have got a ticket, even though that would have made it impossible for even a MINI to get passed and he said ''no...stupid isn't it?''
So I asked him in future if I was inconsiderate and blocked the whole road if I would get a ticket and he said ''no''.
So that's what I'll do next time
And to top it off, as I drove away I said ''thank you '' to him
A traffic warden gives me a ticket for not obstructing the whole road and d'oh me *slaps head* says 'thank you'
And get this, how they word the ticket: £80 fine but if you pay withing 14 days you get a £40 discount Oh am I supposed to think ''whoopie doo a bargain? Cheap at half the price? (grrrrr)


Oh and before anyone starts on me, the pavement on that stupid very narrow road is stupidly very wide....it could have still fit 3 wheelchairs past my car side by side Oh and before anyone says I shouldn't drive to the school, then this poxy council should have room in my local schools instead of them being overcrowded with people who have just stepped off a plane at Heathrow

Well I would but then I'll probably get a 'tough s***' letter back demanding £80

I have challenged tickets before and been let off, but these have all been for faulty meters. I just know that they won't on this cos the law is an ass

I know there was a load of stories in the paper last year about a man who got his ticket canceled because the warden wasnt wearing his hat, its some obscure law....seriously check it out to see if they have changed it.

When this hit the press last year, there was loads of coverage and the warden had to cancel all his tickets that day ads he wasnt wearinf proper uniform.
