Is Gos really a chef? I haven't seen him cooking anything remotely interesting or unusual. I'm not a chef but I can cook all the things he seems to cook, Chili, curry, fish and chips etc, without the aid of a cookery book. Does anyone know what kind of restaurant that he works in? A chip shop perhaps, although if he took three hours to serve up fish and chips to 9 people he would go out of business pretty quickly.

as far as i know it's either caribbean or west-indian restaurant.

it was featured either on ri:se or BBLB.

v small restaurant, possibly family-run (though not his family i don't think).

3 hours for fish and chips?? ::lol::

Is he definitely the chef? or does he just sit in a corner and eat the profits?

well, he's Indian - Indian people are obsessive about cleanliness so I would assume his hands are clean. I think the restaurant he works in was runner up in the National Afro-Caribbean Best Restaurant award. I think it was National - it might have been 'Southall' ::lol::

I don't think anyone can generalise saying Indians are obsessive about cleanliness....I remember seeing somewhere in India a temple that was a shrine to RATS!

Hi HD,
well, all the Indian people I know are immaculate and their houses spotless - I didn't see any rats, but I do know of the temple you are talking about (in Rajasthan) where it's thought the rats are re-incarnation of some legendary Indian person (a 1940s Bollywood actor? ok, I'm guessing/joking). True, you can't generalise about a nation (except the Germans - serious, and the Americans - no sense of humour, oh, and the French - lazy, Italians - mad drivers, Belgians - boring and Euro-obsessive...) ::lol:: ::lol:: us Brits - reserved?
;)

Well I have noticed that when he has prepared the meat he never washes his hands afterwards. Which is a must now when handling meat. I am not a meat eater myself but I do know a lot about the way meat should be handled. I am not being picky about Gos. But I wasn't the only one who noticed about him not washing his hands before cooking, the chef on BBLB also noticed a week or so a go.
