I take offence at this Madeline.

1. He didnt call her a pig, he said she was piggish.
2. He didnt back down, he explained himself and stuck to it.
3. If you read through the transcripts of last night, ALL the boys went on to say how badly she over reacted (which I agree with)
4. Its not ok for him to say that but its OK for you to say Gos is like a hippo??? Hypocritical.

But I have to say the thing that does offend me is the underlying racism with you saying They might talk to their women like that were he comes from, we don't do it here, I believe you took the comment in the wrong way and jumped to the wrong conclusion but even if he had said it and meant it in that way, for you to say that is not on. He is an individual and responsible for his own actions, as we all are. Race or nationality is totaly irrelevant, and you are being ignorant IMO saying as such.

Agree with all your comments there. Was going to touch on the potential racism element too but I think I've got involved in enough arguments for one day, but I back you up on it.

IMO, he did back down!. He has been as quite as a church mouse since he made his 'Piggish' remark.
When I said Gos was like a Hippo. That was in a post asking what animal we thought the housemates resembled.
I was NOT being racist! I said what I said because he himself said about the fighting that was going on in the,SA BB house. Yesterday, he tried to get a rise out of the girls by (clicking his finger's) for his food to be prepared, I still feel his remark to Tania was uncalled for.
Saying someone is being 'chauvinistic" is not being Racist.

You didnt say he was chauvinistic, you said "where he comes from" and "we dont do it here". that was refering to he is from SA and we are from UK. Which in my book was coming across as you think we are morlay better. Which is Racism.

After reading the live transcripts of the later part of the evening from bbgossip, he certianly didnt become quiet as a church mouse. I think he was genuinly shocked at Tanias reaction as were most of the HM's.
