From the MediaGuardian site comes the not-so-shocking news that just under 3 million fewer votes have been cast for the weekly BB4 eviction battles when compared to the same stage of BB3 !!!

....''Channel 4 and producers Endemol are hoping the latest Big Brother stunt involving a contestant swap between the African and UK versions of the show will lead to a surge in popularity, after the number of eviction votes cast slumped by around 40% on last year.

The latest figures show that not only is viewers' interest waning, but they are also voting in fewer numbers as well.

During the first four weeks of the show just 3.87 million votes have been cast, compared to 6.5 million in the same period last year. The drop in voting has come despite last week's stunt of evicting two housemates as opposed to one, with both Jon Tickle and Federico Martone being kicked out...........''

Take a concept like Scooby Doo. It works well. Solve mysteries etc. Great fun. I can watch the repeats now and still enjoy them.

Trouble is, as time goes on, the producers need to be seen to be working to keep the product 'happening'. Solution add Scrappy Doo. Then what can we add later..? Scooby Dum and then Scooby Dee and then..

Oops... A great concept has bit the dust.

There is a parallel here with what is hapening in the BB world right now.

Endemol have killed the golden goose with their greed.In their quest to increase profits they have ignored the fact that the public need to be entertained.BBLB's constant polls in order to gain revenue are feeble attempts at audience participation.I think the public are just not being conned this year by Endemol.They are producing a c*** product which the public are refusing to buy. I predict very major changes at Endemol after this series.

I reccon the reason for fewer votes is basically cause of the prices of calling and txting.....and the general greed of endemal.

Also people are more and more aware about the manipulation from media/bb producers/chan 4 and related shows so whats the point in voting people out when they control who we like/dislike!????

Definitely Jon, Nush is the blonde girl (can't remember her name), Cameron is the blonde guy, Scott is Shaggy and Tania is Scooby Doo (but without the personality) Steph is Scrappy Doo and Fed is the baddie who would have got away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids.
