Flicking through the TV channels I found on BBC Three Highlights on BBC One: Stupid Punts certain housemates from the first Big Brother Tom and Clare.

I have to say when I watched them tonight only for a brief few seconds you could tell that they had more personality than this years big brother contestants. Clare was very pretty and joked a tiny bit.

I miss the old housemates from BB1, BB2 & BB3. :-(

I know what you mean. I have gradually switched off this years. Last night's highlights were on in the background whilst I did some work but I hardly took any of it in and didn't bother with the final 10 mins. I think I've finally kicked the habit!! (Other than logging-on here - but this is far more interesting world! :D )

I have kicked the habit also, I don't watch, but I come here now to just to read the boards and play the odd word game. It is sad! :-(

Me and my GF watched the DVD of BB3 last night and we both agreed that last year was 10x better.

they are just far to aware of what the show is now, I think it cant be helped, unless they get complete Exhibitionists for the next series.

I totally agree! Although the show will carry on until the contract runs out. I believe that Big Brother has run out of steam. I think personally if it wasn't for the contract the best thing for the show would be to cancel it this after year because I can't see the show improving. Also another factor to consider perhaps viewers are starting get fed up with reality tv shows.

i dont think people are getting fed up with them per say, just we have seen it all, we keep expecting to be enthrawled and suprised, but we just end up watching the same thing in every show.

BB can survive.
The need to rethink the show, change the format totaly, give us REAL suprises, perhaps take a leaf out of SABB. And give us 12 people having a wild time rather than 12 people with nothing to do all day and cut off from all life.

They could add to the format to crate new twists, like nominating one person to recieve a chance of seeing the headlines from 10 papers.

There is plenty of scope, even just rethinking the people that go in.
It doesnt have to be 6 girls/ 6 boys.

Perhaps we should ask the African producers to come over here then. As you have said there is a lot of ideas that could be brought in.

well the producers for the past 2 yeards have been bad IMHO.

All you would have to do is look at sites like this to come up with some brilliant ideas. Users on here have thought of some corkers, we are doing their work for them, and yet they dont take any of it in.

The producers for the last two show's have been rubbish. The problem now is housemates thinking there copying or doing something that's been done before eg Brian and his demons and their also too aware of the cameras there not innocent about what can happen, unlike the first housemates . It needs some sort of a shake up or finishing off because it's flogging a dead horse at the moment.

or look at the other bb's around the world
think bb could run next year with big shake up
get more outgoing housemates = adopt some of the ideas from other shows the usa one had special suite and nominated a leader who lived in the suite and gave the orders would shake em up mabe have two houses running and hm's vote to evict to the other house and vice versa
